2007Building Ribbon Cutting Celebration
On March 31st, 2007 Crossroads Church shared a ribbon cutting
celebration with the city of Norwalk. Pictured here is Chief of Police
Ed Kuhl presenting Pastor Glen (left) and Cindy Simpson (building team
representative) with a certificate on behalf of the city of Norwalk. A few years ago Crossroads Church purchased and paid for 20 acres overlooking downtown Des Moines.
This beautiful acreage is located just off of Hwy 5 on the corner of 80th and Beardsley Street.
The foundation of the ministry center was poured on August 24, 2006.

2007 First Worship Service
On March 4th, 2007 we celebrated our first worship service with 275
people in attendance. It was a wonderful event with praise and
celebration. Pastor Glen challenged the congregation to remember that
now that the building is completed, the real work is just beginning.
He also reminded us that March 4th was the only day of the year that is a command (March forth). It holds the challenge to move ahead, make
forward progress, and to take a step in the right direction. So what a
fitting day to begin in a new building and "march forth" in the name of
Jesus our Lord.
2004 On May 8, 2004 Crossroads brought into Norwalk
Rich Praytor, a nationally known Christian comedian. Over 200 people
were in attendance to have a fun-filled night of laughter. Crossraods
is committemd to sharing these types of events for our comunity.
2003 Family Fun Fair attracts an estimated 550-600 people!!
When planning for the Family Fun Fair, we were thinking that 200 people would attend this Grand Opening celebration. Based upon the amount of
cups, dishes, ice cream, drinks, game prizes, etc., that were used, we are now estimating that 550-600 people attended!!
We are very pleased by how so many of the Crossroads people got involved, including many of our young people. Even the folks who couldn't
be there donated drink mix or homemade cookies. What made the day extra special was our chance to connect with the people of Norwalk.
One comment made by a visitor: "Thank you so much for doing this. Money is very tight for us right now, so we really appreciate being able
to bring our kids here." The winner of the Scott's $50 grocery coupon said, "Thank you so much. We were just talking this morning at
breakfast about how we did not have enough money to make our car payment and buy groceries today."
