The basics: What we believe at Crossroads

When you walk into a church, you probably find it nice to know what that church preaches and believes.

Here are some basic guidelines that will help you know where Crossroad Church stands,

so that you can decide whether our core beliefs align with yours.

About God

God is the Creator and ruler of the universe.

He is the Father of Jesus Christ. He is our Father and will provide for all the needs of our bodies and souls. He is present everywhere.

About the Bible

The Bible is the inspired Word of God.

It is our only guide to show us what we should believe and how we should live. It is for everyone to read so that all may hear God speak to their hearts and minds. The Bible is without error.

About Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

He gave His life as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world. He arose from the dead and is alive forevermore. He is the only means of salvation.

About the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son.

He is three persons in one. The Holy Spirit is "the Comforter"

who dwells in our hearts and convinces us of Christ's teachings.

About the Sacraments

We have two sacraments. They are instituted by Christ in the new testament. They are baptism and communion.

About the church

When we say "church," we don't mean a building.

The Church is made up of people of every race who believe in Jesus Christ, who is the Head of the Church. The task of the church is to make Jesus Christ known throughout the whole world.

Our denominational affiliation

We are part of the Reformed Church in America.

This is the oldest Protestant Denomination in America with a continuous history. As such, you will find solid Biblical teaching, stability, and a desire to share the Gospel in practical ways at Crossroads Church.
