Most fundraisers are all alike. You buy a book of coupons for items you don't really want at prices that aren't really discounted.
All that has changed with SCRIP, the gift-card program that lets you support Crossroads ministries by buying things you actually want, like groceries, pizza, gasoline, clothing, and much more!
(To order SCRIP cards, visit the SCRIP desk, or click here.)
Here's how it works. Crossroads purchases gift cards at a discount from dozens of stores that you actually use – Chili’s, Fareway, Kohl's, Kum & Go, and more – then sells them to you at face value. Crossroads keeps the extra money ... so you help the church!
For example, let's say you purchase a $25 gift card for Hy-Vee food stores. Crossroads pays just $22.50 for the card, while you get $25 worth of groceries from Hy-Vee. Meanwhile, Crossroads keeps the extra $2.50. You’ve done nothing more than you'd normally do – go to the store – using your $25 gift card instead of cash or a debit card. Nothing could be more simple.
What's the catch? There is none! And SCRIP cards make great gifts.
To purchase SCRIP cards, just stop by the SCRIP Desk any Sunday before or after the church service. Or click here, fill out the form, and bring it to the church office. And if your business would like to offer SCRIP discounts, we'd be happy to set you up.
