Last year over 70,000 meals were packaged which mean raising over $10,000.00. With the help of everyone in Norwalk, we are aiming to top this amont. Our goal is to have people from every sector of Norwalk represented on an assembly line...businesses, churches, individuals,.... The key to a successful event is raising money. Over $10,300.00 was dontated!! Our donation will go to an organization called S.W.I.M. (Safe Water International Ministries), who produces devices that turn contaminated water into safe drinking water. Each unit costs $150.00 to produce and can provide enough drinking water for a villiage of 500. S.W.I.M. is a non-profit 501 (c) ministry and gifts are fully tax deductible. 25,000 people die each day from diseases related to the lack of clean drinking water. 20% of the world's population lacks access to safe water...that is 1 BILLION people. YOUTH SERVING EFFORTS: SUMMER MISSION TRIPSCHAOS (6th-8th grades) have attended several mission trips. This year they went to Annville, KY and are looking forward to more mission trips to various parts of the states. The Rock (9th-12th grades) have attended a multitude of mission trips. This year they visited Annville, KY and antcipate more mission trips in the future.
ADULT SERVING EFFORTS: SUMMER MISSION TRIPAdults traveled to Annville Kentucky in June 2010 where they remodled homes. This is their second trip to Annville in the past two years and are going back in 2011 (June 11th-17th). If you are interested in going, please contact Pastor Glen. Cost is approximately $280.00.
